Savings Account Transfer Limitations and Fees
Savings Accounts at all financial institutions, including MSDFCU, are subject to transfer limitations. These limitations are required by Regulation D, a federal regulation with which we must comply. The transfer limitations are described in the Electronic Funds Transfer Agreement section of your Membership Booklet. For Savings Accounts, you may make no more than six (6) preauthorized, automatic, telephonic, or Internet transfers to another account of yours or to a third party during the calendar month. A preauthorized transfer includes any arrangement with us to pay a third party from your account upon oral or written orders, including orders received through ACH. It also includes transfers done via audio response and home banking. If you have a number of transfers every month, it is recommended you use your checking account instead. Checking Accounts do not have these transfer limitations. If you exceed six transfers per month, you will be charged a $20.00 excessive withdrawal fee per transaction.
