The Wawa breach is just another example of one of the many issues we face in our modern financial life. What can you do to protect yourself?  MSDFCU offers many products and services that can help you manage the security of your finances. Take an active role in protecting your accounts by implementing some of the following options.

Card Lock – is a FREE app that allows you to control your MSDFCU credit card accounts. The Card Lock app gives you the ability to set ALERTs you want to receive about account activity. By using the CONTROLS function, you can manage your card in many ways, including declining transactions or turning the card off and on, to ensure that it won’t be used until you are ready to do so. Download the app from iTunes® or Google Play™ –search “Card Lock” on your device.

Read our FAQ and learn more and read the How-To for help setting up the app.

Digital Wallet- Consider adding your MSDFCU credit and debit cards into a Digital Wallet. When you use a Digital Wallet to pay for your purchases, your payment information and card numbers are never shared with merchants or stored on your device. With a feature called Tokenization, a token number is used replacing your sensitive information when the transaction is being transmitted with a four-digit, single-use token number. The token number is what you will see displayed on your receipt, replacing your name, card number, or security code better protecting your sensitive information from fraud.

Your phone's fingerprint recognition feature is another added layer of security. Even if your phone is lost or stolen, your mobile wallet cannot be used.
