Our free shredding event will be held at our Chalfont Branch on Saturday, October 21st.
Shred your unneeded documents, such as old tax documents, bills, or anything containing account information. This Lifehacker article can help you decide what to keep, what to toss, and what to shred.
- We recommend a maximum of 5 file boxes (or the equivalent) per attendee. The typical size is a 12” x 15” x 10” file box or a copy paper box.
- We encourage the use of reusable (plastic) containers and taking boxes home for reuse. Grocery bags are also acceptable; please do not tie bags in knots.
- The attendees will be instructed to take their boxes home with them. Containers will be placed back into attendees’ vehicles.
WHAT CAN BE SHREDDED
- Paper, checks, bills, manila folders, thin plastic-covered reports...staples, and paper clips do not need to be removed. Please remove large black clips and three-ring binders. We do not shred phone books, books, newspapers, or non-paper items.
