Who We Are

Merck Sharp & Dohme Federal Credit Union is a full-service financial institution that has been serving its members since 1950. Like other financial institutions, we offer a full range of products and services.

Unlike for-profit banks, we are a not-for-profit Credit Union. Because we are not-for-profit, all earnings are returned to our members through better rates on savings and loans and additional products and services. Our Credit Union is staffed by professionals and governed by a volunteer board of directors, whom our members elect.

Merck Sharp & Dohme FCU is one of the largest credit unions in Pennsylvania.

Mission Statement

Empowering our members to achieve financial success.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

MSDFCU's culture and history focus on creating and upholding a workplace of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. We view our differences as a strength and make us who we are today, enabling us to provide exceptional member and community service. MSDFCU encourages, promotes, and celebrates a diverse and inclusive workplace allowing our employees to be their authentic selves achieving personal and professional growth while experiencing a sense of belonging and support. We are committed to a nondiscriminatory approach, providing equal employment and advancement opportunities and treating our members equitably.

MSDFCU recognizes this journey is vital to the success of our members, staff, and community. We established a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Council to that end. The DEIB Council is comprised of staff from all levels and Board representation. The Council is responsible for creating and reviewing our DEIB strategy to achieve our goals. This is achieved through many paths, such as internal assessments, training, education, professional consultants, and external partnerships.

"I love this institution. I've been with them for 20-plus years. Their professionalism is impeccable"
